Dear Friends-Welcome to St. Thomas' Parish,
Thank you for visiting our web site. A parish's website, visibility in community life, and our commitments not just to issues but people are all ways of "being the Good News" and sharing it with those longing to find a spiritual home founded on civility and respect, mutual responsibility as well as encouragement. There's no message more needed in our fractured world than knowing that God loves us all no matter what, that God desires more and better for us than we've ever imagined, and that a church community is a place of welcome and nurture, as well as challenge and empowerment, to reach out to the needs of the world, while finding within ourselves reservoirs of God's grace in who we are, not just what we do. For me at the heart of parish ministry is the practice of radical hospitality, which also calls from us radical responsibility and accountability, encouraging open doors and hearts not just to share who we are with others, but to be vulnerable enough to be transformed by those who bring new gifts into our midst...reflecting our dual commitment to evangelism as an essential part of our being the Body of Christ in the communities where we live. I know that I am still growing in faith and the gifts for ministry God has given me. I believe that St. Thomas' is a parish that shares with me a desire to continue learning to build a community where all can find and be found by God, a place that, wherever anyone may be on their faith journey, they discover that there is a place at God's table for them. Come visit...consider us to be your new spiritual home where together we can share in the ministries God still has in store for us all. Blessed love, The Rev. Dr. Nancy Lee Jose+ Rector
