NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

We are the custodians of a great story we neither started nor will finish, but if we choose to be chosen, we are the lucky few who will write in the story book.

We all have stories.

Knowing this place and being involved in its future is now part of my story, neither its beginning nor its end, but the two are now intertwined. So it is important to me to offer the facts of my story to you. That is why I am publishing my curriculum vitae to this Growth Site, not for vanity’s sake, but because it is the story that is important. Not the man.

Wikipedia the Glass Palace in the Netherlands. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glaspaleis

That building has a wonderful story that has long out lived its then young author, 36-year old Architect Frits Peutz. That should be our goal here. That is the goal for all of us, for our stories to out live our bodies.

About my work shown here on this Site,

None of what you see is definitive. We are only at the point of putting fingertips to pens. Nothing is written in stone yet. So in that spirit, I am publishing designs of both the first and the third Concepts for St. Thomas. It is my hope, in your deepest contemplations on its future, to provoke hope. Ignite the “What if we do...” in us, that transcends the “What have we done.”

For my own story,

Images of several projects I have worked on can be found at www.DavidJamesonArchitect.com in the “work” section. Buildings I am proud to have been a part of can be seen in images of “Jigsaw,” the “Calem-Rubin Residence,” the “Simon Kuney Suite,” and “Lakeview.” I encourage you all to visit that site and see the excellent work that office has produced. Additionally, follow the links below to become familiar with the Swiss office I apprenticed in, and the Master Architect who taught me, Peter Zumthor.
