Christ the King Sunday: Did you know today is the last Sunday of the year?

Of the Church year, that is! This Sunday, the Last Sunday after Pentecost, marks the beginning of the final week in the traditional Christian calendar. And next week, the First Week of Advent, marks the beginning of the new Church year.

Listen in today's readings for "end times" references to the coming of the Kingdom and the Final Judgment. As always, the Scripture readings we hear at the service are chosen for their appropriateness to the seasons of the Church calendar.
