The capital campaign is "full steam ahead!"  Here's what you need to know:

2011 was a very successful year, with a number of accomplishments including

  • Increasing our internal pledges and gifts to $862,612 - a more than $200,000 increase over the end of our 2010 campaign through ECF!
  • Raising $110,274 from the community, including your family and friends. This is remarkable, and the donations continue to come in.
  • Securing two major gifts in the last two months totaling $300,000 through our partnership with Gene Robinson.
In total, we have raised $1,272,886 in pledges and gifts towards our $3 million goal!  This is something to celebrate - so please plan to come celebrate at the Mardi Gras event at the parish on February 21.

So, how are we going to raise the rest of the money?  We've got a plan, and we need your help!

We still hope to raise $1 million from parishioners    internally.  If you have not yet pledged - or if you feel called to    increase your pledge - please contact Chris Norman or speak with the wardens or Nancy Lee.  Please consider that pledges need to be paid by December 31, 2015 - which is one year longer than originally planned.

  • If you have anyone in your personal or professional network who you believe would be open to this project, ready to listen and have significant capacity (able to match your gift, or give at the $10,000 and above level over five years), please let Chris Norman know by mid-February. We are planning an event with Gene Robinson - and this is the time to get these potential donors engaged!!
  • Building "buzz" and awareness is key - we need everyone to continue to discuss this project widely! Several of our "non-parishioner" gifts have resulted from chance meetings. You never know who will be touched and captivated by what we are trying to accomplish.
  • Bishop Robinson is continuing to reach out to his network of potential donors, and we are supporting him with materials and with prayers. Please be sure to keep him in your prayers.
  • Stay tuned for more information about events that are being planned for the spring.

Please reach out to Chris Norman or Jason Forman with any questions, comments or concerns about the campaign.  We are making a renewed effort to keep everyone informed about our activities - and we thank everyone for all that you are doing to make this campaign a success.
