Discernment Committee Final Report | Print |  E-mail

The Vestry of St. Thomas’ Parish wants to thank Clinton Anderson, Mary Hager and everyone who contributed to the Building Discernment Committee Report for their long hours and excellent work.

The Vestry asked the Discernment Committee to dream about the future the Holy Spirit is preparing for our parish. Committee members prayed, met, discussed and together assembled a vision that calls for an expansion of the parish facility featuring accessibility, environmental sensitivity and a blending of traditional and modern design themes.

The Vestry is planning a special meeting in early October to refine the committee’s vision. From there the Vestry expects to ask architect Matt Jarvis to sketch a building that meets the committee’s goals.

We plan to present this vision at a parish-wide meeting in late October. After receiving comments and input from all interested parishioners, the Vestry hopes to hire a fundraising consultant who would guide the parish in a capital campaign to raise the money needed to realize the discernment committee’s vision.
