On March 7th St. Thomas’ kicked off our capital campaign with a parish dinner catered by Fresh Start Catering out of DC Central Kitchen. The event was a tremendous success and the rave reviews continue to be shared by parishioners who attended. It was an incredible evening of food, fellowship and learning about the capital campaign for a new sanctuary. After a delicious meal the audience was able to see the premier of a new video that related the story of St. Thomas’ and ended with an appeal for all to join in and help us grow both as a community and in building a new sanctuary. The film was FANTASTIC and definitely award-worthy! We then heard from various members of the campaign committee share their efforts with the audience and solicit everyone’s participation in this effort. At the dinner it was announced that St. Thomas’ had already raised more than a QUARTER of a MILLION DOLLARS in funds pledged toward the effort! The evening ended with opportunities for the parishioners to share with everyone what St. Thomas’ means to them and how they have come to be a part of this wonderful and growing community.
