Greeters help steer our parish toward reaching its goal to be a place of welcome to all! Greeters provide a friendly “hello” to folks as they enter our church doors, make a special effort to chat with newcomers at coffee hour following services, facilitate introductions, and serve as a resource for newcomers with questions about St. Thomas’. Greeters have proven to be a key resource in acquainting newcomers with our parish and its numerous offerings for spiritual growth and engagement.

Our goals for 2009 include increasing our team size of 18 so we can adequately cover three services. We would like to have at least three Greeters for the 11AM, one Greeter for the 9 AM, and at least one Greeter for our fastest growing service in 2008 - the 5PM - which can draw near 50 attendees. We are not there yet! Please help us in our efforts and join us.

Please join our important ministry of welcome! Additional Greeters are needed for all services. During a period of twenty weeks, Greeters are assigned five services. They arrive at the church 25-30 minutes before a service and continue greeting another 25-30 minutes following the services. Please speak to a Greeter to sign up or send me an e-mail.
