Online Fund-Raising for St. Thomas' Pride 2008
Capital Pride Week is a unique opportunity for St. Thomas' Parish to share our message of radical hospitality with our neighbors in the Greater DC area. In the past we have attracted new members to St. Thomas’ Parish with our participation in the Pride Parade and the Pride Festival. These events offer us a chance to tell and live our story –that we are a part of The Episcopal Church that is a welcoming place for all people from all walks of life. In the fullness of these news-worthy statements, we will be including an invitation to the broader community that all are welcome to the Service for the Affirmation of Couples in Committed Relationships, both straight and gay in our Parish Park.
Traditionally, several committees including Inclusion, Parish Life, and Communications come together to host and support the many activities that make Pride Week a success at St. Thomas’. This year we wanted to open up the funding by listing our expenses and allowing Parishioners to make direct contributions to fund individual projects.
