The Pastoral Care Ministry at St. Thomas'provides support to members of the parish and loved ones who are sick, bereaved, in need of counseling, or who have any other need. The chair coordinates clergy and pastoral care visits, as well as delivery by Eucharistic ministers of Holy Communion to those who are unable to attend regular services.

St. Thomas' at Pride 2007St. Thomas' pushed the envelope yet again in its participation in the 2007 D.C. Pride Events.  The weekend's events included hosting a barbecue with fellow parishes, marching in the parade with the Bishop of Washington, and celebrating a mass affirmation of couples—gay and straight—in committed relationships.

“What’s Your Story?”

The Inclusion Committee invites you to a "What's Your Story?" event on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 6:30pm at St. Thomas'. We'll start the evening with wine, light food, and fellowship. Then we'll have a short time to hear from various people in the church about what St. Thomas' means to them and how they have found faith and community in this place. Others can share as well, or you may want to just listen with no pressure to say anything.

thumb_StThomasSpring02.jpgRecycling has arrived at St. Thomas'! You may have noticed the new yellow and blue recycling bins in the kitchen and an extra trash bin in the church parking lot. They're there because St. Thomas now has weekly pick-up of our used glass, plastic, aluminum, and newspapers.  So, check out the new recycling bins, know where they are, and use them!
