Mark your calendar now for the Help the Homeless Walkathon on the National Mall, November 22. Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington invites you to join Bishop John and Karen Chane and walk under the Samaritan Ministry banner. Friends of Samaritan Ministry Partner Group
This year, we are encouraging supporters to help the Friends of Samaritan Ministry raise $100,000 for the Next Step Program through Fannie Mae’s Help the Homeless Program. Fannie Mae will once again provide a matching bonus of 20 percent if the Friends group raises $100,000 becoming “Hero Circle Partners.” Samaritan Ministry will receive all of the funds plus the additional $20,000 bonus from Fannie Mae and a lot of publicity.

Hear from Program Participants at Samaritan Ministry’s Next Step Experience
How do homeless people and others make changes in their lives through Samaritan Ministry's Next Step Program? Attend a Next Step Experience at our 1516 Hamilton St, NW office and find out. At this complimentary one-hour event you'll hear from program participants and see where they meet with caseworkers to work on goals, apply for jobs, and obtain clothing for interviews and more. You'll also hear about Samaritan Ministry's vision for the future and learn about homelessness in Washington, D.C.

Meaningful Volunteer Opportunities at Samaritan Ministry of Greater Washington
Take a step toward volunteering in a meaningful volunteer position with Samaritan Ministry. We need front office coordinators, computer mentors, resume writers, and casework associates to help our participants, many who are homeless, take steps toward a better life. New Home for Samaritan Ministry
After 16 years at 1516 Hamilton St. NW, Samaritan Ministry needs a new home. Samaritan Ministry is looking for a new site that includes at least 3,000 to 3,600 square feet of space at a location in either Northwest or Northeast Washington.
