Tomorrow morning my journey takes me to Virginia Theological Seminary where I will become a fulltime student.  For the next three years I will be studying Hebrew, Greek, the Bible, Theology, Church History and various other subjects while on the path to receiving a Master of Divinity degree and to eventually be ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church.

I am grateful for this community of St. Thomas' which has been my spiritual home for six years, where I've experienced God's grace and love.  I've found strength for my journey each week by sharing Eucharist and fellowship with you.  Tomorrow I share Eucharist with a new community which will become my spiritual home.  I ask for your prayers for the next three years as my journey continues.   You, as St. Thomas' Parish, will be in my prayers.

Jesus is here today in the Eucharist.  He says to us - to you and to me - "I am the Bread of Life.  You who believe will have eternal life."  Let us joyfully accept this gift, which is more than what it appears, and be strengthened for our journeys.

AMEN
