Donate a Godly Mural | Print |  E-mail

2005_0103johnjohnson0021.jpgThe John Johnson Godly Play Room contains a beautiful mural that combines images and words to illustrate stories and concepts from the Old Testament. This mural is only the beginning.

We have three hundred square feet of wall that we intend to cover with similar murals illustrating the New Testament and Jesus' parables. You will see the blank white spots in the playroom where the future murals will be hung.

We are inviting parishioners to donate $25 per square foot to help us complete these murals and contribute to this exciting new children's ministry. Everyone who donates will have his or her name inscribed on a plaque that will hang in a place of honor in the new playroom.

Donations can be made online using PayPal by clicking the Pay Now button below. If you do not want to make a donation online, you can print and mail the form below along with a check or money order to St. Thomas’ Parish, C/O Godly Playroom, 1772 Church Street, NW, Washington, DC 20036. Contact Nate West or Jean Holman for more information.

  • Whitsunday
This Sunday is my namesake day - my middle name being Whitson, which derives from the Middle English Whitsonday or Whitsunday or White Sunday, in recognition of the white liturgical garments traditionally worn on the day of Pentecost. I’m a Jr. so the name was inherited for me from my father, the original Wayne Whitson Floyd. [...]
