The hopeful lesson I draw from today's Gospel is that it is never too late to have a radically life-changing epiphany. Jesus only had a few more years to live when he had his epiphany at the Jordan river. If we keep ourselves open to radical change, maybe our epiphanies will be just around the corner. And when we do have those epiphanies, we should not be surprised if they lead to fulfillment of our baptismal covenant.
